Maybe it's just because I'm a 90's kid, but I always find myself reaching for one of my many cozy flannels as I'm getting dressed. Our winters in AZ are pretty much nonexistent so I have to take full advantage of the small flannel-acceptable window that presents itself each year. In this case, I decided to use my favorite flannel to dress down a blazer and heels to make it a little more laid back. I'm really digging this look and hope you all do too!

This weekend my dear friend, mentor, and fellow blogger, Simply Audree Kate, nominated Steeze Please for the Liebster Award. This award is passed around by bloggers to smaller, independent blogs which they find to have great potential. Liebster is a German word that translates to darling, sweetheart, or beloved. What a sweet little token to be passed around! It is a great way to network and congratulate each others efforts in the blogging community and I am honored to be nominated by such a fabulous blogger like Audree, herself. Please check out her blog and show her some love!
When a blogger nominates others for the Liebster Award, they include a set of questions to be answered by the nominee. Here are my answers to Audree's questions:
1. Who/What is your fashion inspiration?
My fashion inspiration comes from all over the place. It reigns from high fashion and runways to thrift shops and random people walking down the street. The inspiration really never stops for me, it's everywhere I turn. However, I'm an Instagram fiend and the fashionistas on there are always a main source of my inspiration.
2. Why did you start blogging?
I began blogging because I was sick of sitting around just waiting for my dreams to magically come true, I wanted to spend my time actively pursuing them. By my senior year in high school I knew that I craved a career in the fashion industry and I decided that the best way to work towards that goal was to start this blog which enables me to share my personal style, network with other fashionistas, and create a working resume for myself. I'm so happy I pushed myself to start blogging. Even though I have a long ways to go, Steeze Please has already opened up so many doors for me and connected me to so many amazing people.
3. What is your go-to outfit when in a rush?
I always find myself throwing on a pair of skinnies with my trusty military jacket and some ankle boots. I honestly probably wear this combo far too often but it's so simple and can be accessorized so many different ways to achieve a bunch of different looks.
4. Favorite Quote?
An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. When life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means it's going to launch you into something great. So just focus, and keep aiming.
5. Three things you can't live without?
2. My dog, Scout
3. MacBook (I am a college student...)
6. Best advice you've ever received?
Challenges are just there to prove to you how badly you want something. If you want it worse than the rest, you'll find a way to succeed. If there's a brick wall in your path find a way to jump over it.
7. What are you most excited for in 2014?
In 2014 I'm looking forward to expanding and furthering my blog, meeting new friends around campus, and strengthening the relationships I already have.
8. How do you describe your personal style?
Ugh, this question always gets me simply because my style is all o v e r the place. One day I'll be punk and the next, preppy. Classic and feminine or super boho. You really never know what you're going to get with me... and I'll leave it at that. I like to keep people guessing.
9. What is your favorite beauty item?
Easy! I'm obsessed with NYX Matte Lipsticks. They're cheap, look super natural (especially the deep pink shades like tea rose) and don't smudge. Plus, they're never sticky.
10. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Hmm, 5 years would land me at 23 years old. At this point I hope to be starting my career and breaking into the fashion industry. I dream of living in LA with my boyfriend, possibly attending grad school at FIDM, blogging on a much larger level, and working in fashion merchandising as a stylist for a major brand.
11. What is something your readers probably don't know about you?
My readers probably have no idea how much I adore Greek food, especially gyros.

11. What is one beauty tip that you swear by?
I'm writing to you from a cozy cabin in Truckee, California from the luxurious Martis Camp. (I use the word cabin lightly, as these homes are easily mountain mansions. Seriously, they're worth checking out.) Martis Camp is a top of the line lavish community in the Lake Tahoe area with all of the amenities you could possibly imagine. I was lucky enough to take an excursion here with my family and our close friends (who so kindly hooked us up with these arrangements) for a weeklong ski trip. When I wasn't snowboarding or at the spa, I was either lounging about the cabin or running around the big red barn which was chalk full of old school games (I could play Ms. PacMan for hours...) as well as an art loft. Below you'll see both of those, as well as one of my favorite cabin-chic outfits featuring two of my favorite winter staples: my menswear H&M flannel and my faux fur L.A. Hearts vest.
What are your winter staples??
