Hello there! I have to keep today's post short & sweet because, well, midterms... But I wanted to share this look with you. I'm loving thigh highs and floppy hats at the moment, but I'll have to swap these dark hues soon for some more summery options. Stay tuned!

Tissue paper (assorted colors), String, Scissors, Clothespins (optional)
Take a single sheet of tissue paper and fold it twice, first lengthwise, then widthwise. Cut in half so you have two equal pieces.
Take one of your folded sheets and position it so the seam is at the top. Begin cutting up the length of the tissue paper, creating strips, and leave a 1 inch margin at the top by the seam.
Now, unfold the tissue paper so the uncut portion runs down the middle.
Starting at the bottom, roll up along the uncut seam. Be careful during this step as it's easy to tangle or tear the tassels.
Now, take your new tassel and secure the loop at the top with a piece of string.
String the individual tassels on a long piece of string and TA DAA, you have a tassel garland! :)
I used these cute glittered clothespins to add some hearts to my garland, but it would be a great way to showcase some pictures, too.
If you're not feeling crafty but like the look of these, head over to Studio Mucci on Etsy and order one from the experts! Or if you decide to give this D.I.Y. a try, I'd love to see your finished product!
I've always loved Valentine's Day. Single or happily in a relationship (as I am now), February 14th will forever have a special place in my heart. It's a day where we pause in our busy lives and take a moment to show our affection to those we love. Whether it's your parents, friends, siblings, or coworkers, make your adoration for the special people in your life known. There's so much hate in our world and Valentine's Day is the perfect reminder of just how important it is to show the love to those special people in our lives.
If you're reading this, then I love you. Yes, you! Your support of my blog means the world to me and it's only appropriate to tell all of my amazing followers just how grateful I am for your love and affection. I hope you all have a lovely Valentine's Day! XoXo
Now, I want to know what your plans are this Valentine's Day. Netflix and a box of chocolates? Lunch and shopping with the girls? Maybe just simply taking your pooch for a nice long walk? (Sometimes dogs appreciate little displays of love far more than humans.) Or, do you have a big date planned? Regardless of what you decide to do, below you'll find some Valentine's Day outfit inspiration to take you from day to night. Valentine's is the perfect opportunity to break out all of those super girly pieces and go wild. I went for a really feminine look with lots of pink, tulle, polka dots, and diamonds.

Men are like clothes. You have to try them on until you find the right fit. I was on the treadmill watching Sex and the City the other day (I only let myself watch E! Network if I'm actively doing cardio. If I want to keep up with the Kardashians I have to keep up with my fitness, too. Great motivation, btw...) and Carrie said something that I think all of us ladies can relate to at one time or another. She compared the man she was dating to a dress. "He was like the flesh and blood equivalent of a DKNY dress. You know it's not your style, but it's right there, so you try it on anyway." Leave it to Carrie to tell it how it is. I think we've all been guilty of doing this, but I'm here to say that that's perfectly okay. If you don't try it on for size, how will you ever really know what you like?
This sounds a lot like my search for the perfect boyfriend jeans. (Please excuse the pun.) I always thought this cut was just for tall and thin girls, and assumed the baggy style wouldn't work with my curves. Well, I was wrong. It took me a few trips to the fitting rooms in Zara but I eventually found the perfect pair for me. They even had a cute little pop of plaid peeking through the rips and were on sale for a mere $20. My shopping karma must have been on point that day, because I also scored these Zara shoes from my previous outfit post. I usually stay away from light wash denim but I think I prefer this cut in a lighter, distressed wash. In fact, I almost wish these had more rips themselves! But, that's nothing that a little DIY-ing can't take care of. They'll work into my spring wardrobe perfectly! Dress them up with heels like I did, or rock them with some low sneakers and enjoy the comfort of a baggier, relaxed denim.

What's your take on boyfriend jeans and how do you wear yours?
Superbowl Sunday usually consists of lots of junk food, beer, and screaming at the television (which is all great... don't get me wrong) but thanks to Bloomingdale's and the Council of Fashion Designers of America, this Superbowl Sunday will be a little more fashionable than most. Bloomies and the CFDA teamed up to create a slew of couture football helmets in honor of Superbowl XLVIII that will be auctioned off with their proceeds going to the NFL Foundation. The collection features 48 whimsical helmets from designers such as Diane von Furstenberg, Rachel Zoe, Rebecca Taylor, and Vince Camuto. I love seeing big collaborations like this, and love even more that these designs will help to support the safety and health of athletes and our country's youth. Check out a few of my favorites below and see the whole collection and auction here!
Hope you all take this day to be couch potatoes like I am and have an awesome Superbowl Sunday!
Who will you be rooting for?
