Okay, maybe I'm not a gold digger.. but I'm definitely digging these gold sequins that I welcomed to my wardrobe not too long ago! I have a feeling this jacket will be sprucing up many outfits of mine in the near future. I've decided to wear nothing but gold jewelry from here on out, as it complements my golden hair and skin tone better than any silver ever would. Just a personal choice, but I find it easier to stick to one metal and avoid being a mismatch of silver and gold. Plus, I'm just plain obsessed with gold, especially my golden curb links. Anyways, I decided to finish this look off with a new pair of pointy, single-soled black suede heels! This is so weird for me because I vividly remember making fun of my mom's pointy stilettos as a kid, but obviously my fashion taste has blossomed since then. I now welcome pointy toes into my closet, as well as single-soled heels. Maybe the tables turned when I saw Rihanna wearing hers like a badass with jerseys and jeans on Instagram, but whatever it was, I'm definitely a fan now.

A few days ago I said goodbye to my brother once again as he headed back to España. This time however, instead of studying he's leading a group of kids around the country as a summer camp adventure counselor. While I don't get to tag along on this excursion, it does have me dreaming about the city of fashion and fun I got to explore earlier this year. Unfortunately, I was there when it was freezing so I didn't get to wear anything quite like this, but the city of Barcelona inspired me while creating this look! I built it all around a pair of fabulous asos platforms, which I am dying to have in my closet and of course, á la me, I just had to include a double gold chain.
The day I've been looking forward to for the past twelve years of my life has come and gone in the blink of an eye. A few weeks ago I graduated from Shadow Mountain High School and while it marked the beginning of a new chapter, it was an era that I am happy to see go. It's not that I didn't enjoy high school (it had its moments) but I am all too excited to venture out, begin my college years, and see where life takes me. So, that said, there will be no sentimental reminiscing on my high school years and no tearful goodbyes, as I know that I am leaving all of it behind for bigger and better. Come fall I will be at Arizona State University as a business student studying Marketing, as Arizona is lacking in fashion degrees... but hey, when it comes down to it, it's all business. Right?
So anyways, here's what I chose to wear on the big day! I kept it casual for the occasion in a denim sundress with a sweetheart neckline with brown and gold accessories. I wanted something understated that wouldn't clash with my gown, something cool and summery (so I didn't die of heat stroke during the outdoor ceremony) and this dress met all of the above!

I would like to take a moment to congratulate all of my fellow Grads out there.. Class of 2013, we did it!
Now, on to bigger and better.
