Welp, I'm legal! I celebrated my long awaited eighteenth birthday on Monday, and it was all that I hoped for! The best part of it was being able to spend the whole day with my brother, who had just returned home the previous day from a semester abroad in Spain! Having him home safe and sound was the best present I could have asked for. To celebrate, we went to sushi and spent the afternoon thrift shopping, then enjoyed a family dinner at my favorite new restaurant, Culinary Dropout. A part of the Fox Restaurant Concepts (which are always amazing), Culinary Dropout has a great menu and even better atmosphere! We ate in "The Yard" which is Culinary Dropout's adorable, huge patio equipped with ping pong tables and tons of outdoor games. It's the perfect place to chill on a week night and kick back, but it gets pretty bumpin' on the weekends. For now there's only locations in Arizona and Nevada, but if you find yourself near one don't pass it up! Below are some shots from the night and of course, what I wore. I kept it causal, but spiced it up with my nude, strappy wedges and my new gold chain that I got as a birthday gift! I'll spare you the "2 CHAINZ" jokes, but I can tell this necklace is going to become a new staple in my wardrobe.

Here we have my older brother, Cole, lookin' fly as always. His style is directly associated with his fratty-ness, but I like to think I had something to do with it as well. ;)
Every time I walk into a store, a flash of leopard is almost guaranteed to catch my eye. Maybe it's the wild child in me, but it's hard not to gravitate towards this bold print. You might even say I have a slight obsession with everything leopard, just by walking into my room you'll be assaulted by the sassy print. While I allow my room decor to be a fun guilty pleasure, I do try to limit the amount of leopard I keep in my wardrobe for one reason: it is far too easy to go overboard with. Wearing too much leopard, despite being overbearing, also gives off a sleazy look. We get that you're sexy and can't be tamed, but we also start to question when you're going to pounce on us and turn into a jungle cat. Not cute. To avoid leopard mishaps, follow this simple rule: Never wear an outfit composed of more than 25% cheetah print. (Or at least limit yourself to one subtle, classy piece.)
And let's please remember, colored animal print of any kind is always a no. Stick to the classics on this one!
