If you're anything like me, then finding a pair of jeans that actually fits can be an absolute nightmare. There's so many elements that go into a simple pair of denim and finding the perfect pair from fit, to wash, to details seems nearly impossible at times. However, thanks to Lawless Denim & Co., there shall be no more struggling with denim. Lawless opened its doors over the weekend and became the first custom denim manufacturer and retailer in all of Arizona. Located right in the heart of Downtown Phoenix at Cityscape, Lawless is the hottest new denim retailer and is forever changing the denim game in Arizona.
What sets Lawless apart from the rest is clearly the quality of their denim. I've already added a pair to my wardrobe and have a custom pair in the works. I never truly realized what a good pair of denim can do to transform your wardrobe, but these jeans really do hold the power to do just that. Lawless offers over 25 different denims but specializes in Japanese selvedge denim made on vintage looms from the WWII era. (Think Levi Strauss circa 1873. He used these same looms in the creation of his legendary denim.) The manufacturing takes place on location and you can actually watch them make your denim on a vintage sewing machine like the one below. Lawless is all about keeping it traditional.
While designing a custom pair of denim tailored to your exact specifications is what Lawless is all about, they also offer ready-to-wear denim for just $87! I picked up a pair off the shelves to wear for their Grand Opening Party and they fit like a glove, so I can only imagine what my custom pair is going to be like.
Here we have the lovely Maya Vita, in house designer for Lawless Denim, and owner Roman Acevedo. These two are the best in their industry and have an amazing company on their hands.
The Grand Opening party was a huge success with a great turnout from fashion lovers all over the valley. Check out these adorable custom bow ties from Amirs La Voute which all of the hosts got to show off during the event.
While Lawless has the denim game on lock, they also offer a variety of other accessories. The store is home to a collection of beautiful Wolverine 1000 Mile Boots: the perfect shoe to go with a classic jean.
Lawless is also home to the Dapper + Dash bowtie, which are also proudly made in Phoenix, AZ.
We can't forget the leather. Koja leather accessories adorn the showroom, as well as Lawless belts.
I had the honor of being a host at the Grand Opening Party of Lawless and am thrilled to welcome this business to the valley. Please show them your support and stop by the store to see their wonderful product line. Oh, and I hope you guys get used to me in these jeans, because I'm never taking them off.
Hey, guys! Leah here, and today I begin my Fashion Week adventure. Phoenix Fashion Week has been going on in the valley for the past nine years, but as of today I finally get to be a part of the madness. This morning I attended an amazing seminar sponsored by FIDM which featured Jessie Artigue of Style and Pepper, and focused on the Business of Blogging. After an inspiring morning of soaking in as much advice as I could, I find myself in the local Starbucks (a blogger's haven... free wifi) charging up and blogging away as I anxiously await the runway shows tonight. While there will be plenty of content covering the festivities on its way, I just wanted to share with you what I'll be wearing on the red carpet tonight. Be sure to check back for more Fashion Week coverage! What trends are you hoping to see on the runway?

It's truly crazy how time flies. I was scrolling through my blog archives today and something caught my attention... August marks the one year anniversary of the creation of Steeze Please! WOW. I started this blog exactly one year ago because I was sick of just daydreaming, waiting for my dreams to come true. I knew that I had to make them happen myself, and so I did. Too many people sit around waiting for the right moment to act. Many just expect things to come to them, but they fail to realize that while they are sitting around waiting, the opportunities are passing them right by. The launch of this site has provided me with opportunities that I never imagined possible a year ago. If it weren't for Steeze Please I would have never had the chance to blog for Teen Vogue, get backstage access to fashion shows and mingle with designers, or have landed my very first stylist gig with Shine Bright Senior Portraits. While Steeze Please and my adventures in the fashion world still have a long way to go, I am very proud of the strides that this blog as a whole has made in the past year and am excited for what the future holds. I would like to thank all of my dedicated readers, followers, and friends for your love and support- none of this would be possible without you! However, I'm not stopping here. I'm going to continue chasing after my dreams and I encourage you all to do the same. Stay steezy!
Things are really heating up in the Valley of the Sun, including the music scene. It seems like every time I look at the calendar there's a new festival or outdoor concert popping up. That is, if you're willing to brave the heat. No matter where you find yourself this summer, a good festival outfit is always a must have and this one here was inspired by all things summer. The look is simple but has fun details like a raised platform on the classic Chuck, a floppy hat in a pretty hue, and a pineapple because, well, it's summer!
Hope you all are having fun and finding ways to beat the heat!
A few days ago I said goodbye to my brother once again as he headed back to España. This time however, instead of studying he's leading a group of kids around the country as a summer camp adventure counselor. While I don't get to tag along on this excursion, it does have me dreaming about the city of fashion and fun I got to explore earlier this year. Unfortunately, I was there when it was freezing so I didn't get to wear anything quite like this, but the city of Barcelona inspired me while creating this look! I built it all around a pair of fabulous asos platforms, which I am dying to have in my closet and of course, á la me, I just had to include a double gold chain.
Spring has officially sprung and the many wildflowers popping up around Phoenix inspired this love child look. With 100 degree temperatures right around the corner I'm trying to get the last few wears out of my boots and jackets before they're retired for the summer. You can easily collaborate these pieces into your spring wardrobe and keep wearing them until the heat kicks in, but knowing Arizona, there will only be a few more weeks of pristine spring weather. That said, I think I'll spend each and everyday soaking up the sun like any flower child would. Stay Steezy!

Time to highlight one of my favorite trends, mixing two very unexpected styles; grunge and soft pinks with florals. This unexpected duo proves to make a surprisingly chic look, and you'll look majorly bad ass while rocking it. My personal style involves lots of mixing fun styles like this! Why choose just one when you could have the best of both worlds? Some might even call it... a match made in heaven.
Below I put together my favorite looks, but they also have high price tags attached! Keep scrolling to see how a fashionista on a budget can pull off this same unique look for loads less.
I rummaged through my closet and recreated this exact look for you, just with some practical pieces:
