Every hair stylist out there is preaching that you shouldn't wash your hair everyday, but I've always struggled with that. Why, you ask? Because, well, after one day in this AZ heat my hair is a greasy, nasty mess. I've played around with different dry shampoos and even used baby powder to keep oil at bay, but the texture it created in my hair was just never right. Some were almost worse than the oil itself. That is, until I picked up this cute Batiste dry shampoo at Urban Outfitters. I will admit I was drawn to this specific bottle because of it's sassy packaging (leopard print addiction, duh) but this is one of those few products that actually lives up to it's cute packaging. This dry shampoo smells amazing, slays oil, and honestly makes my hair feel like I just got out of the shower. It would be great for after a workout or just eeking a few more days out of your blowout.
My mother, being the angel that she is, brought this and a few other Toni & Guy products home for me one day after a Target shopping spree and I fell in love with this conditioner. My hair is super damaged due to several recent lightening treatments and my daily heat styling, but this conditioner does exactly as it says: nourishes. I can literally feel my hair drinking this stuff up when I shower. And the smell. I love the smell. So yes, this stuff is a must!
A friend recommended this to me and it's truly a miracle. This one product does 10 amazing things for your hair. You ready for 'em?
1. Repairs damaged hair 2. Adds shine 3. Detangles 4. Thermal protection
5. Seals and protects hair color 6. Prevents split ends 7. Stops hair breakage
8. Creates silkiness 9. Enhances natural body 10. Flat iron spray
Sooo pretty much everything you could ever want in one product. This stuff is pricy for a little bottle but I justify it because it's 10 products in one.
Foundation is always one of the hardest things for me to pick out. I walk up and down the flourescent-lit aisles overwhelmed by a sea of beige in search of product that will work magic on my simply awful combination skin. What drew me to this product was the fact that it's 100% natural. As someone who suffers from frequent breakouts, I wanted a foundation that would actually be good for my skin and this stuff is about as good as it gets in that sense. It also tone corrects and brightens which is a plus. My only complaint is that it's a little liquidy for my oily skin. I prefer something a little more creamy, but I still think it's a great product.
So you know those breakouts I was talking about? Yeah, well they require some pretty serious coverage sometimes. That's when I break out my secret weapon, Glamoflague. This stuff is hardcore. So hardcore it can even be used to cover up tattoos. Whatever you plan to use it for, at only $6, it's a steal.
This cutie came with the NAKED palette when I bought it and it's one of my favorite mascaras. The brush is super bristled so it goes on nicely and does a good job of separating the lashes. Also, it conditions while you wear it so you won't feel like your eyelashes are going to break off at any moment.
Hope you enjoyed my suggestions but I'd love recommendations on more new products to try.
